Applications Engineer
Inductosense develops and manufactures wireless, battery-free sensors and systems for corrosion monitoring. Our technology has been trialled and deployed on assets across the world. We have achieved significant growth over the past two years and are scaling up the team to take advantage of the huge number of opportunities across a range of markets. We now require an additional engineer to join our applications team. This is a customer-facing technical role where communication and precision are key.
The Applications Engineer role will involve:
- Supporting customers with trials and deployments of sensors, remotely and on-site when travel restrictions ease
- Developing, testing and prototyping the Inductosense sensor technology for specific customer applications
- Providing training for customers
- Preparing technical reports and case studies
- Managing key relationships with customers
- Identifying new opportunities with customers
- Supporting the launch of new products – specifically around automated monitoring and robotic data collection
- Supporting business development activities
Required Experience
- University degree in Engineering/Physics/Materials Science
- Understanding of ultrasonic non-destructive testing
- Competent in using Matlab
- Experience in a customer facing role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Some research/development experience
Preferred Experience
- Some knowledge of the following industries Oil&Gas, Chemical, Nuclear, Mining, Renewables, Marine
- Knowledge of piezoelectric materials
- Knowledge of signal processing
- Knowledge of electromagnetic theory
- Experience of producing technical project plans
- Knowledge of business development/sales methodologies
- Experience of ISO9001
