Inductosense collaborates with Stork on digital corrosion monitoring solutions

Ultrasonic sensor solution experts, Inductosense, has entered into a collaboration agreement with asset integrity lifecycle partner, Stork, for its internal corrosion monitoring solutions. With operators escalating focus on digital solutions and unmanned assets, Stork is rapidly growing its inspection and maintenance technologies.

Following a successful validation process with a major North Sea Operator, Bristol-based Inductosense will now make its portfolio of WAND products available to Stork’s client base under the new agreement.

CEO of Inductosense, Dr Matt Butcher said: We are very pleased to have formalised our relationship with Stork, they have an in-depth understanding of our value to customers and are uniquely positioned as a data-driven service provider to support us. This year will see the launch of new WAND products including our retrofittable automated solution; a game-changing product that aligns perfectly with the direction of Stork and the needs of the wider industry.”

Founded in 2015, Inductosense designs and manufactures corrosion monitoring products to suit a range of applications and to support customers at all stages of their digital transition journey. The patented Inductosense WAND technology is based on battery-free ultrasonic sensors that can be permanently embedded under coatings or insulation, providing accurate and repeatable thickness measurements at a fraction of the cost of alternative monitoring solutions.

Andy Dodds, Integrity Services Manager, at Stork commented: “It’s an exciting time to add Inductosense to our expanding monitoring solutions portfolio; the simple, cost-effective, and time-efficient technology solves many of our customers’ challenges. We were pleased with the initial trial, where WAND sensors successfully identified wall loss that may otherwise have been overlooked by conventional inspection methods.”

Martijn Glass, Stork’s Global Innovation Director continued: “Inductosense’s WAND products will compliment Stork’s innovative asset monitoring technology.  This, coupled with our tried and tested expertise, will play a key role in transforming corrosion and erosion monitoring solutions for our customers.”
