The REACH is an accessory for the WAND Handheld Data Collector (HDC) that can extend up to 4.3 m / 14.1 ft. Simply attach the REACH to the WAND-HDC so data can be collected from the WAND Thickness Monitoring (TM) Sensors installed in difficult access locations, to support hard-to-reach corrosion monitoring.

What is REACH?
REACH is an extendable accessory for the WAND-HDC that allows operators to collect wall thickness measurements from WAND TM Sensors in elevated and hard-to-reach locations.
How far does REACH extend?
REACH has an adjustable working range from approximately 1.5 m/5 ft to 4.3 m/14.1 ft, allowing WAND TM Sensors to be accessed from a safer and more convenient position.
Can REACH reduce the need for ladders, scaffolding or rope access?
Yes. By extending the WAND-HDC up to 14.1 ft, REACH can reduce the need for additional access equipment when collecting routine wall thickness measurements from elevated locations.
Can REACH identify WAND TM Sensors using RFID?
Yes. The REACH cartridge includes RFID detection, allowing the sensor tag to be identified while the wall thickness measurement is collected. It supports both U.S. and EU WAND Sensor tags.
Can the REACH head be adjusted for different pipe positions?
Yes. The reader head can swivel through 360°, tilt forward and backward, and be adjusted clockwise or counterclockwise. This provides flexibility when accessing sensors installed on different pipe geometries and orientations.
Is REACH easy to transport around site?
REACH collapses to approximately 1.5 m/5 ft and weighs 2.5 kg/5.51 lb. It is supplied with a body harness, support straps and a protective case to support use during field inspection campaigns.
